I recently factory reset my desktop because I was having some issues after upgrading to Windows 11. The reset went fine, but now my keyboard and mouse are completely unresponsive, making my computer unusable. They still work in the BIOS, but as soon as Windows loads, they become inactive. I tried enabling legacy mode on my motherboard to treat all USB devices as USB 2.0, but that didn't help. It seems like Windows is disabling the USB ports since no USB devices are working, only getting power. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation?

First off, try checking the Device Manager. Sometimes devices can be disabled there, and you might be able to fix it that way. Just keep in mind you might need to get creative since you can't use a keyboard or mouse right now. Try connecting another keyboard or mouse if you have extras lying around to see if that helps.

That’s a good point, but if they're not working, I'm not sure how you'd even get to that. Is there a way to use some keyboard shortcuts or something to get into it without the mouse?
