I recently received a notification from GoDaddy about my 2-year SSL certificate being re-issued due to the new regulation capping certificates at 397 days. Just to clarify, this re-issue doesn't involve re-keying, so it shouldn't affect any existing certificates. I'm curious if anyone else has gotten similar notices and if this re-issuing trend is going to continue as the limitations become stricter. I'm also concerned about managing these updates moving forward since my setup doesn't easily automate certificate updates.

If your software can't handle automatic certificate updates, consider using a Layer 3 load balancer like HA Proxy that does support them. It can solve most of your issues without a lot of hassle. If you can, let vendors know that their lack of support is a dealbreaker for you!
