Why do my EA games keep crashing?

I'm really struggling with my gaming setup lately. I can play some games without any issues, but when I try to launch EA titles like BF6 and Skate, they often crash right after I hit play. Sometimes they run for a few minutes before crashing and I only get a black screen with no error messages, forcing me to hard reboot my PC. This has only started happening in the last three weeks! My setup is an ASUS Z390-A motherboard with an updated BIOS, a 3080ti with the latest drivers, and an i9 9900k also updated. My custom cooling loop has been perfect until now, and I've even removed ICUE. Any ideas on what could be going wrong?

It sounds like you're having a tough time! A good first step is to check your event logs to investigate the cause of the crashes. Go to Event Viewer and look under Windows Logs > System or Application for any errors marked as Critical that occurred around the time of your crashes. You can find more info on how to do this in tutorials online. Let me know if you need a specific guide!

Thanks! Can I still check the event log even if my computer crashes and I have to do a hard reset?

Have you considered that the Javelin anti-cheat software used by both games could be causing the crashes? It might be worth looking into that. Also, make sure you're launching them through the correct client - are you using the EA app or Steam?

I'm launching through Steam.
