Last week, my games suddenly began lagging, dropping to around 5-10 fps after initially running at 144 fps. I've attempted several fixes including lowering my graphics settings, reinstalling my NVIDIA graphics driver, disabling hardware-accelerated GPU services, checking the resolution (which was incorrect for one game), repairing Windows 11 via updates, and scanning for malware (found none). Interestingly, this issue started happening after I connected my PC to a TV to watch a movie with my grandma. I'm using an ACER Nitro 5 AN517-54. If anyone has solutions or suggestions, please let me know!

This seems like it could be a heat issue. Since you connected your PC to a TV, check your graphics settings in Windows and NVIDIA to ensure no extra displays are active and that everything is set to how it was before. Overheating could definitely be affecting performance, so make sure your laptop is getting proper airflow, too.

Unfortunately, I'm still facing the same problems after trying that. Guess I need more help!
