Why Do My Keyboard and Mouse Freeze When Trying to Enable Secure Boot in BIOS?

I'm having trouble with my keyboard and mouse freezing up when I navigate through the BIOS/UEFI settings. I need to enable secure boot to play some FPS games, but I can't do that because of this issue. I'm on Windows 11 and have ensured everything is updated. I've heard that there was a Microsoft update that caused problems for many users on this navigation page, but the supposed fix is already installed on my system, yet the freezing persists.

Make sure to back up your data before changing BIOS settings, just in case. It’s risky anytime you’re tweaking system settings!

The issue you’re experiencing seems to be linked to the recovery environment in Windows, not the BIOS itself. Have you checked if your BIOS is updated to the latest version? Sometimes manufacturers release fixes for bugs. Also, it might help to plug your keyboard and mouse into USB 2.0 ports instead of USB 3.0.

Yeah, the freezing happens in the Windows recovery environment as well. Everything's updated on my end, but I really need to enable secure boot!
