Why do my laptop fans get super loud when I shut down?

I've noticed that whenever I shut down my laptop, which is a Windows 11 model with an AMD Ryzen 7 7735U and Radeon Graphics, the fans make a really loud whirring noise that won't stop until I force shutdown by holding the power button. This is concerning since my laptop is only 1-2 years old and didn't have these issues until a few months ago. I'm looking for any fixes or explanations for this behavior. Additionally, I've observed that the fans also roar loudly when I start up my laptop and when I launch Minecraft, which didn't happen in the past year. Any insights would be appreciated!

Glad to hear that disabling Fast Boot helped with the shutdown fan noise! For the loud fans on startup and when you boot up Minecraft, it might be worth checking if your laptop is overheating or if there are any resource-heavy processes running at startup. Boosting your cooling system or cleaning out dust buildup can also make a difference.

It sounds like your issue might be related to a hardware failure or possibly some setting in your BIOS or OS. I recommend trying to disable 'Fast Boot' in the BIOS and also turning off 'Fast Startup' in Windows. This can sometimes help with power-off issues and might stop the fans from running after shutdown.
