When I play games such as World of Warships, World of Tanks, and Arma 3, there can be a 5–7 second delay between pressing a key and seeing the action happen on screen. Since Counter-Strike 2 and normal typing respond instantly, this probably isn't a general Windows or keyboard problem. Check whether the delay happens in offline or single-player modes. If it only affects online games, compare their in-game latency and server status, but a true five-second network delay would usually cause disconnects. Also check for software that hooks into keyboard input, such as AutoHotkey, overlays, or keyboard-brand utilities, and temporarily disable them.
A wired keyboard should not have noticeable input lag, so switching from wireless isn't relevant here. Try disabling overlays and background utilities, verifying or repairing the affected games, resetting their control and graphics settings, and testing with a clean boot. If offline gameplay still has the same delay while other programs remain responsive, the issue is likely specific to those games or their configuration—not something that normally requires reinstalling Windows.
