I'm having persistent stability problems whenever I enable an XMP or EXPO memory profile. After some time, the system may crash while browsing or gaming. Games sometimes report missing or corrupted files, and I've seen BSODs such as "Attempted Write to Readonly Memory" and "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL," usually mentioning ntoskrnl.exe. I also received one System Service Exception referencing dxgkrnl.sys.
I've tried increasing VDD/VDDQ to 1.3 V, setting SoC voltage to 1.22 V, changing memory timings manually, swapping the RAM sticks, cleaning their contacts, reducing the memory frequency, disabling Fast Boot, and reinstalling Windows several times. Windows Memory Diagnostic, TestMem5, MemTest86, AIDA64, OCCT, and FurMark haven't reported any hardware errors. The SSD shows 99% health.
The system uses an ASRock B650 Pro RS, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and Kingston KF556C36BBEK2-32 memory, with BIOS version 4.43. The components appear compatible, but I can't get the system stable with XMP or EXPO enabled. What should I try next?

Make sure the two sticks are installed in the recommended slots, usually A2 and B2—the second and fourth slots from the CPU. Then test a conservative profile such as DDR5-5200 instead of 5600, leaving the timings on Auto initially. If that still fails, reduce the frequency in 200 MT/s steps. A small voltage adjustment may help, but increasing voltage won’t compensate for every weak memory controller, and more voltage can introduce its own risks.

I tried selecting the 5600 CL36 profile and then lowering the frequency, but I didn’t manually set the timings. I’ll verify the slot placement and test 5200 with conservative settings before changing anything more aggressive.
