I'm trying to enter the BIOS on an Advantech ARK-3500 industrial PC. Pressing F2 or Delete during startup seems to register, but instead of displaying the BIOS setup screen, the system goes blank and shows "A9" at the bottom. Clearing the CMOS fixed the problem on two other units, but this particular device still stops at the same A9 screen. What else can I try?

Try removing the top cover and disconnecting the CMOS battery, then reconnecting it firmly. On the ARK-3500, fully reseating the CMOS battery can clear the A9 startup state and restore access to the BIOS.
