I'm having a strange issue with my ASUS laptop where, on startup, the screen stays completely black for about 30 to 40 seconds before it boots up normally. Once it's on, everything works perfectly with no crashes or problems. I had a similar issue with my MSI PC that had two GPUs. It turned out the problem was due to switching between them. I fixed it by disabling one of the GPUs. First, check if your ASUS laptop has dual GPUs too (you can see that in Task Manager), and also try plugging in an external monitor to see if that changes anything.
Could be related to your processor—if you have a Ryzen series with DDR5 RAM, sometimes the boot black screen happens due to EXPO training that adjusts your RAM timings for optimal performance. This process can lead to a delay at startup. If this is the case, it’s generally safe. But if it’s happening every time, other issues could be at play.
