Hey everyone! I've been having a frustrating issue since I updated my iPhone 14 to iOS 26. When I turn on the microphone in Call of Duty Mobile, the audio switches to mono. There's no way to tell which direction footsteps are coming from, and everything sounds super sharp and piercing. I'm using an ACEFAST dongle (lightning to 3.5mm) and 7hz x Crinacle Zero 2 in-ear monitors, and the sound was perfectly fine before the update. I've even tried changing the dongle and earbuds, and I bought some Lightning earpods, but nothing has worked. I've checked the settings multiple times, and the issue is still there even after updating to iOS 26.3.1. I'm really hoping someone can help me figure this out!

You're not alone! A lot of players are experiencing the same issue with Call of Duty Mobile after updating to iOS 26.1 to 26.4. The game seems to mess up the audio when the mic is turned on, resulting in mono sound and even audio cutting out. It’s definitely a bug, so keep an eye out for updates from the developers, as they might fix it soon!
The reason your audio goes mono when you turn on your mic is because the audio codec switches from A2DP, which supports stereo, to a hands-free codec that only supports mono. So, when your mic is enabled, that’s the audio you get. Unfortunately, it seems like it’s a limitation when using a mic, especially within CODM after the latest iOS updates. Some users are complaining about it, and it often cuts out as well during gameplay. Fingers crossed for a fix in future updates!
Have you tried testing the mic in other apps? It might help to see if it’s particular to CODM or if it’s a broader issue with iOS after the update. If it only happens in that game, it’s likely a compatibility issue, but if it’s across the board, Apple might need to address the bug.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one. I couldn’t find others talking about it either, but it seems pretty widespread.
