Why Does My Brother Get Better Ping on the Same Internet Connection?

I've got a question about ping differences between two HP Victus laptops in the same room. My brother's laptop is newer, but we're both connected to the same internet at home. When we play online games together, he consistently has a ping of around 130 ms, while mine is much higher at 210 ms. I'm wondering what could be causing this issue. Could it be due to the hardware differences or something else? Also, if this isn't the best place to ask, could someone suggest a better forum? Thanks!

The ping differences could definitely be due to hardware disparities. If your brother has a newer or better network card, that could explain why he gets a lower ping. It's worth checking the specs of both laptops to see if there are significant differences.

Is there any way for me to improve my ping?
