Why does my brother’s mobile data stop working when he leaves home?

My younger brother's mobile data stops working whenever he goes out, even though his phone has an active data plan. Restarting the phone temporarily fixes it, but the connection fails again after about 15 minutes. The phone is already up to date, and I'm hoping to resolve the issue before he starts school.

Since restarting only restores the connection temporarily, try resetting the phone’s network settings first, then check the SIM card and mobile network settings. It’s also worth contacting the carrier to confirm the account, coverage, and data service are working properly. A factory reset should be a last resort after backing up the phone.
