Whenever I use Opera for sites and apps such as Discord, Disney+, or Crunchyroll, a casting notification appears in the bottom-right area of my computer and says I'm casting to a TV in the house. I'm worried that someone might be watching my screen. Is this just because the TV and computer are on the same Wi-Fi, and how can I disable or stop it completely?

There have been cases where opening Discord in Opera triggers casting controls unexpectedly. Check both Opera and Chrome for an active cast session, disconnect anything listed, and review the browser’s media or casting permissions if the notification keeps returning.
This usually means the browser or website has detected a cast-capable TV on the same Wi-Fi network; it doesn’t automatically mean someone is secretly watching your computer. If an active connection is shown, click the cast icon and select “Stop casting” or “Disconnect.”
So simply being on the same Wi-Fi can make the TV appear as an option? Is there a way to prevent the casting prompt from showing up altogether?
