Why Does My Computer Shut Down When I Download Games?

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue where my computer unexpectedly shuts down every time I try to download games, regardless of the launcher I'm using. I've tested my CPU and GPU and they don't seem to be overheating. I've also checked the event viewer but haven't found anything useful. I'm looking for troubleshooting tips. Interestingly, when I limit my download speed, it seems to crash less. On Steam, if I cap it at around 200Mbps, it's more stable. Any advice would be appreciated!

There are a few things to consider: your network interface card, processor, or drive could be overheating. Your GPU handles the workload when gaming, so check your processor's temperature while downloading. Is your network card built into the motherboard? Sometimes those can be the source of issues.

It sounds like your power supply might be the culprit. When you're downloading games, it places a higher load on your system. Can you play games without the computer shutting down? That might help narrow it down.

Just throwing out some ideas here: Have you closed all other applications while downloading? It might help to try uninstalling and reinstalling the game launcher you're using. You could also test by downloading something non-game related to see if the issue persists.
