I'm having a strange issue with my Dell Inspiron 15 3530. When I connect it to my GIQ USB C hub docking station, the laptop slows down drastically and becomes almost unusable. This problem only occurs with this particular laptop; other laptops work perfectly fine with the docking station. Even after unplugging from the dock, the Dell stays slow for about 6 hours before returning to normal. I've updated all the drivers and checked the Device Manager, as well as CPU, GPU, and RAM usage, but everything seems to be working fine. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how I could troubleshoot it? Thanks!

It sounds like you're dealing with a cheap or incompatible docking station. I've noticed issues like this can arise from knockoff brands, and I haven't heard of GIQ before. I recommend getting a Dell-branded docking station instead. After you install it, run Dell Command Update to make sure all necessary drivers are in place. That should help with compatibility and performance.

Thanks for the suggestion! If the GIQ docking station is the problem, why is it only affecting my Dell laptop? Also, if I switch to a Dell docking station, will it work fine with my other laptops that are different brands?
