Why Does My Desktop Keep Losing Connection to Discord and Online Games?

I've been experiencing a frustrating issue where my desktop keeps losing its network connection while I'm playing online games and using Discord. This has been happening almost daily for the past year. When it occurs, I get booted from voice calls and my game matches disconnect, but the connection comes back in about 20 seconds. I can't find any apparent triggers for this problem. It's worth noting that no other devices on my network seem to be affected, although I mostly use my PC and phone. I changed ISPs earlier this year, and even after moving across town, the issue persists. I'm still using the same router, which might be the problem. Here are some details about my setup: I have a Netgear Nighthawk BE9200 router, and I'm on Windows 11 (version 25H2). I've kept my router firmware updated and connect to the 6G wifi band. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, have you made sure to run a virus scan on your computer? It’s worth checking just to rule that out. If you’ve already done that and everything’s clean, it might be network congestion that's causing the issues. Let me know when you typically start gaming and using Discord – it could give some clues!

Also, have you recently installed any mods or suspicious apps? Sometimes they can mess with the network without you even realizing it.

I did a virus scan with Windows Defender, and it checked out fine. As for congestion, I'm the only one using the network in my house. I usually hop on around 6:00 PST for gaming.
