Hey everyone, I've been having a weird issue with my PC where plugging in my headset completely disrupts the audio. Whenever I connect it, videos take ages to load, and everything just feels sluggish. However, when I switch back to the speakers, everything goes back to normal. I've tested multiple headsets and the problem persists. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how I might fix it?

This sounds like a driver problem. You might want to check if your audio drivers are outdated or uninstall and reinstall them. It could solve the issue!

TechyNinja42: Thanks for the tip! Iโ€™ll get my workplace IT team to update the drivers.

First off, what kind of plug does your headset have? It might be a compatibility issue if you're using an unusual connector.

Definitely check your drivers first. And also make sure the USB port youโ€™re using isnโ€™t damaged; that could mess up the connection too.

I've noticed the same thing! For me, YouTube wouldnโ€™t even start with my headset plugged in. Something fishy is going on with the audio output.
