Why Does My Laptop Cursor Disappear Without an External Mouse?

I've been having this issue where my laptop's cursor only appears when I have an external mouse connected. It completely disappears otherwise. I've already tried rebooting my laptop, used the Fn keys to check for any settings, and looked through the Bluetooth options, but I can't find anything related to a mouse. My laptop is running Windows 11. Can anyone suggest how to resolve this? Thanks!

If you don’t see the touchpad option, it might be worth trying to perform a quick check in the BIOS settings. On boot-up, hit the appropriate key (like F2 or Delete) to enter BIOS and look for any settings related to the touchpad. Just remember to be careful with changes in BIOS.

First, check if your touchpad is enabled. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Touchpad, and make sure it's turned on. Sometimes, it just gets toggled off accidentally. If that doesn’t work, you might want to update your touchpad drivers from the Device Manager.
