I've had a bunch of Windows laptops before and always set the action for closing the lid to 'do nothing' so I can use an external display. My new ASUS Zephyrus G16 does this just fine, but there's an annoying issue: when it sleeps and wakes up, the internal display turns back on even though the lid is closed. This is frustrating because it causes me to accidentally drag windows to it and I'm concerned about potential burn-in since it has an OLED screen. Has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone know how to fix it?

I had the same issue! After my first Zephyrus G16, I got it replaced at Best Buy, but the second one has the same problem. I'm starting to think this might be just a flaw in the model. I've never faced this issue before, so it’s pretty frustrating.
It sounds like a design glitch. First, make sure you've got the latest BIOS and graphics drivers installed. If that doesn’t work, you could set up two display profiles using WIN+P – one with the laptop display off and just the external one on, and another profile for when you want to use both. That might help work around the problem.
