I've recently started playing Valorant and Fortnite, but I've been experiencing frequent freezes while gaming. My PC completely freezes for a few seconds and then comes back, but it keeps happening in a cycle. I'm hoping someone can suggest a fix or point me in the right direction. Here are my specs:
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X 6-Core Processor
- Motherboard: Asrock A620M
- RAM: 32GB at 5800MHz
- PSU: Gigabyte P650G 650W 80+ Gold Certified Non-Modular.
Any help would be much appreciated!

That’s definitely strange! First off, double-check that your GPU drivers are up to date. Also, check your BIOS settings—if you have RAM overclocking enabled, try toggling it off or on to see if that changes anything. It could make a difference.
I've seen this happen to a lot of Radeon users too, including myself with my RX 7900XT. From what I've gathered, keeping the GPU VRAM at stock settings seems to help reduce these freezes. Also, make sure you're using the latest Radeon driver, I’m on version 26.1.1 right now and it seems stable for me.
Freezing during gaming is often a sign that your PSU might be struggling. It might be worth considering if it's going bad, especially under heavy load.
