I built a PC last year featuring an AMD 9060XT GPU, and it's been running great overall. However, there's a minor issue I've noticed: every time I change the volume using the keyboard, a volume indicator appears, and it causes a brief lag for a couple of seconds. I'm unsure whether it's switching to the integrated GPU momentarily or if it's prioritizing other tasks by shifting them to the background while the volume bar is displayed. While it doesn't really affect my gaming experience much, I was hoping someone could suggest a simple fix for this. Thanks in advance!

Things have been a bit weird with Windows lately, so it wouldn't surprise me if this is just one of their latest quirks. If you’re on Windows 11, you might want to keep an eye out for any updates that might fix these kinds of issues.
I had some stuttering issues myself that I managed to fix by disabling MPO (Maximized Pointer Optimization) in Windows. It's definitely worth a shot to see if it helps with your lag too!
I get random issues with Windows too. Sometimes just updating your graphics driver can help with lag caused by overlays like that.
Haha, sounds like your PC might be a little confused! But seriously, try running your games in borderless window mode. It might help your system transition between the game and the volume overlay more smoothly without causing that lag.

I'll give that a try, thanks!
