Why Does My PC Randomly Boot into BIOS?

I've noticed that my PC sometimes boots into the BIOS after I leave it idle for a couple of hours. I'm not sure why this is happening. Once I save and exit, everything seems to work fine afterward. Could there be an underlying problem causing this?

Another possibility is that your CMOS battery might be dead. The CMOS battery helps store BIOS settings when the computer is off. If it's failing, you might see that BIOS screen when starting your PC. Since you're experiencing the issue while the PC is running, it wouldn't hurt to check the battery anyway.

This could be a sign of a failing SSD. Sometimes, if the storage drive is having issues, it might lead your system to the BIOS. Make sure to keep an eye on your drive's health.

If it helps, try running some diagnostics on your SSD and check for errors. You can usually find tools from the drive manufacturer's website that can assist with that. It’s best to rule out drive issues.
