Why Does My PC Shut Down When I Launch Demanding Games?

Hey everyone! I've just upgraded a few components in my PC, but now I'm facing a frustrating issue. Whenever I try to launch a demanding game, my PC just shuts down and goes to a black screen—no blue screen or any warnings. I have to press the power button to turn it back on. This never happened with my old parts, so I'm looking for any insights or solutions to this problem.

Here's what I upgraded:
- Thermaltake Toughpower GT Snow 750W 80+ Gold power supply
- Ryzen 5 5600X CPU
- Intel Arc B580 Titan GPU

I've tried a few things already and I'm still stumped. I'm leaning towards a power supply issue. Here's what I've done so far:
- Reinstalled GPU drivers using DDU
- Checked temperatures: CPU maxes out at 80°C and GPU at 70°C, but even when the GPU is at just 50°C, my PC still shuts down while playing Monster Hunter Wilds.
- Ran stress tests with Cinebench and Furmark, and those didn't cause any shutdowns.

I've spent the day troubleshooting this, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked for any crash dump files? They can help in diagnosing what’s causing the shutdown. If you can access Windows, see if you can find any files in C:WindowsMinidump. You can zip them and upload to a sharing site for analysis.

It sounds like it might be a GPU issue, but I need a bit more info. When your PC shuts down, does it turn off completely, or does the screen just go black and the fans get loud while the RGB lights stay on? If it completely powers off, that might suggest a different problem altogether.

It turns off completely—black screen, all fans stop. No RGB, so I can't comment on that.

Does your power supply have a switch for single rail or multi rail mode? It can affect how power is delivered under load, especially with high demanding games.
