My computer becomes extremely sluggish whenever I download something or try to run a larger game. I already suspect that I need more RAM, but I'm not sure whether that's the only problem. I currently use Norton and regularly scan for viruses and system issues. I've included Task Manager screenshots and a download in progress, but I'm not sure whether the number of background processes is normal. What information or additional screenshots would help identify the cause?

The biggest issue visible from the screenshots is that your memory usage is around 80% or higher, with Edge using roughly 1 GB by itself. If the system only has 4 GB of RAM, upgrading to 8 GB should help a lot; 16 GB is a better target for modern games and general use. We’d also need to know whether Windows is installed on an HDD or SSD, since an older hard drive can make downloads and multitasking feel painfully slow.

The percentage alone isn’t enough to diagnose it—we need the total installed RAM. Eighty-three percent of 4 GB is a serious limitation, while the same percentage of 16 GB is much less concerning.
