Why Does My YouTube Buffer Health Drop to 0 Even with Good Internet?

I've been experiencing a frustrating issue while trying to watch videos on YouTube. At the start, everything runs smoothly, but then out of nowhere, the Buffer Health suddenly drops to 0. This happens even though my internet connection is good and my PC is capable. I enabled "Stats for Nerds" and saw the Buffer Health drop while the other stats looked fine. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm hoping to find some help here since all the usual "how to fix YouTube buffering" videos haven't worked for me.

Have you tried checking if it happens on different browsers? Disabling IPv6 in your network settings can help with buffering issues sometimes, and turning off hardware acceleration in your browser might help too. If you're still having problems, try temporarily lowering the video resolution to see if that changes anything. Also, using a VPN can sometimes make a difference, depending on the server location you’re connecting to.

It's worth mentioning that if you're seeing these issues on both Chrome and GX browsers, it seems like it’s not just a browser-specific problem. Disabling IPv6 can help with connection stability, but I get why you’d hesitate since it sounds important. You might be fine trying the other suggestions first to see if they work without needing to change that.
