Why Has My iPhone 14 Pro Battery Health Stayed at 94% for Three Months?

I bought a second-hand iPhone 14 Pro three months ago. The phone shows 94% maximum battery capacity, and its parts and service history indicate that everything is original. Since buying it, the battery health percentage has stayed at exactly 94%. Is that normal, or could the unchanged reading suggest that the battery was replaced or that the battery information is inaccurate? I'm mainly concerned about whether this could affect the phone's reliability and resale value later.

I wouldn’t treat a steady 94% reading as evidence that the battery was replaced. If the phone’s parts and service information says the battery is genuine and there are no warnings, the unchanged number by itself isn’t suspicious.

Battery wear is affected by full charge cycles and temperature, not simply by the amount of calendar time that has passed. Three months of moderate use may not be enough to reduce the displayed capacity from 94%.

That’s normal. Battery health doesn’t drop on a fixed schedule, and the percentage can stay unchanged for months before moving down another point. It depends on charging cycles, usage, heat, and how heavily the phone is used.

The practical test is how the phone performs. If it lasts through your normal day, charges normally, and doesn’t shut down unexpectedly or get unusually hot, the battery is probably fine. A newer replacement battery could even help resale value, but the percentage alone can’t confirm whether it was replaced.
