Why is Django ranked lower in popularity compared to other frameworks?

Honestly, I wouldn't say Django is that low. It's still one of the most popular backend frameworks out there! If you focus on Python, it just trails behind FastAPI and Flask, which might be getting more attention because they're less opinionated and have better async support. So, it's more about how you look at the rankings.

Django's actually pretty close in popularity to FastAPI! It's not about being the trendiest option but rather being profitable and effective in real-world applications. I found it easy to teach, and many have landed jobs just from learning it, so that's what really matters to me.

Surveys can be misleading. They only reflect the opinions of those who participate. Django isn't going anywhere; it's stable and solid for real app development, especially when you need things like authentication and an admin interface right out of the box.
