Why is My 16GB Memory Usage So High on Idle?

Hey everyone! I'm noticing something odd with my new PC. I have 16GB of RAM, but when I check the task manager while the system's idle, it shows that I'm using about 35-42% of my memory. However, when I dig into the details, it seems like only about 1GB is actually being used. I'm also experiencing lag when I run YouTube during a Discord call, with memory usage spiking to 80%. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

It sounds like some background processes might be consuming more memory than you realize. You could take some screenshots of the task manager and share them to diagnose the issue better. Additionally, check for any unnecessary applications running in the background that might be affecting your RAM use.
