Why is my 6000 MT/s RAM only showing 4800 in BIOS?

I've got a G.Skill 64GB RAM kit that's rated for 6000 MT/s, but it's only displaying as 4800 in the BIOS. This is strange since I have the EXPO profile enabled. I've been using this RAM for quite some time, but I recently updated my chipset driver and I'm using a BIOS version from last year. Is it possible that the older BIOS is causing compatibility issues with the new chipset driver? I could have sworn it was running at 6000 MT/s when I first set it up last year. I was just trying to adjust my fan curve when I noticed this issue.

You might want to share a screenshot from ZenTimings. It'll show you the actual settings your RAM is running at. Check it out at zentimings.com.

If you set it to 6000MHz but the system couldn't boot, it could have reverted to lower JEDEC speeds automatically. It's a common issue!

Didn’t know that, I’ll definitely keep it in mind. Thanks!
