Why is my banking website not loading in Chrome?

Morning everyone! I have a user who encounters a maintenance message that says, 'Success - If you are seeing this message please contact your system admin' when trying to access a specific banking website using Google Chrome. However, the same page loads perfectly fine in Microsoft Edge. The user prefers Chrome and refuses to switch. A colleague suggested turning off Zscaler, but that's not an option. We've tried uninstalling Chrome, deleting local app data, and even testing from different networks, but the issue persists only for this user. Interestingly, other users in the same office don't face this issue, and neither does the Domain Controller. The problem continues even when using guest Wi-Fi that's not routed through the UK. I've also cleared hidden service workers, flushed socket pools, and checked for any installed Chrome apps related to the bank without success. While the login page for online banking loads, sub-pages like 'Contact Us' work fine, just not the home page. The user wants to access the home page normally. Aside from decommissioning the user, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

There have been cases where flash cookies or local storage cause issues that persist even after clearing cookies. Changing some settings like language or tweaking browser settings could potentially resolve the problem.

When you open Dev Tools and navigate to the Network tab, try checking 'Disable cache' and then refresh the page. It might give you some insights into what's going wrong.

It sounds like Chrome is running into something that's being overlooked. Have you tried using Process Explorer to filter and export the list of handles before you uninstall Chrome? Then, delete the exported data and reinstall Chrome. That might clear out anything lingering that’s causing the issue.

I would suggest testing other user profiles on the same machine. If they work fine, you could rebuild the affected user profile. There might be a corrupted profile causing these issues, especially if the other users are not experiencing it.

Isn't it odd that the banking site has a default maintenance page up on their production servers? You might want to reach out to them and ask why that's the case.
