Why is my computer’s WiFi connection so bad?

I'm really confused about my computer's WiFi situation. It used to slow down when I was playing games, but now it's consistently showing only 2 bars. My phone gets full bars, so I know it's not the internet itself. I've updated all my network drivers, and I've heard that having my PC under my desk might be an issue, but I can't move it anywhere else. It's right across from the door and pretty close to the laundry room where the router is. Also, my bedroom is across from another type of router called 'Orbi', though there's another one downstairs too. I've tried connecting to that one, but it's still terrible. I keep disconnecting from games, and I can't even use Discord while gaming without dropping out completely.

I’ve had good experiences with TP-Link adapters. They offer decent performance without breaking the bank.

Have you thought about getting a USB WiFi adapter? A lot of people have reported better connections after switching. If it works better, you can conclude that your internal WiFi card might be the problem.
