My GPU sits around 40°C, but my AMD Ryzen 7 5800X is now idling between 60 and 70°C. It used to stay near 40°C, and the change happened pretty quickly. Could poor case airflow be affecting the AIO, or is something else likely causing the higher temperature?

A failed pump is one possibility, but the CPU would usually keep climbing toward its thermal limit and throttle if coolant stopped circulating completely. Since it is holding around 70°C, check the simpler causes first: make sure the pump is running, inspect the radiator and fans for dust, and confirm the water block is mounted evenly. The thermal paste may also need to be replaced. A loose or excessively tight mount can reduce contact and raise temperatures. Case airflow can hurt cooling too, especially if the radiator is starved for cool air.
I’ll check the pump speed, radiator dust, and the block mounting. I’ll also compare the idle temperature with the CPU under load to see whether it keeps rising.
