Why is my disk at 100% usage with no visible activity?

I'm experiencing an issue where my disk usage is constantly at 100%, but nothing seems to be running aside from the Antimalware Service Executable, which is only using a tiny amount of data. I have a Fanxiang S690Q 2TB SSD, and it feels like my system should be performing better. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to diagnose or fix this problem?

It's great that you checked the health of your SSD. Just 99% health is solid! But keep monitoring it just in case. Also, make sure no additional malware scans are running in the background.

Have you been keeping up with updates on your PC? Sometimes, the system runs background updates that can cause high disk usage. If you have some updates pending, try running them to see if it helps.

You can check if any processes are still reading or writing data by using Resource Monitor. If there’s no activity shown there, it could indicate that your SSD is starting to fail.
