Why is my Disk C space dropping even after a factory reset?

I'm having a weird issue with my C drive space. I recently did a complete factory reset on my PC since I didn't have any important files to keep. After the reset, I set everything up again, but I've noticed that my disk space is still decreasing for no apparent reason. When I started, I had around 905 GB free, and now, just a few minutes later, it's down to 899 GB without me downloading anything or installing new software. I've been up all night trying to figure this out, so any insights would be super helpful!

You might want to try downloading a tool like WizTree or WinDirStat. Those can help show you what's actually eating up your disk space. It could be updates taking up more room than you think!

I just downloaded WinDirStat, so hopefully that helps me figure things out. Thanks for the tip!

It sounds like it might be related to your paging file. Windows often manages this automatically, so it can change in size based on what your system needs. Just a thought!

That makes sense, but I've never seen it drop this much before. Should I just let it run for a bit and see if things stabilize?

Make sure to check what's getting larger using one of those tools I mentioned. That’ll give you a clearer picture of what's going on. Good luck!

I’m on it! Just gathering the data now and will compare things soon.
