Why is My Gaming FPS Dropping Dramatically?

I'm having a problem with my PC where my FPS drops dramatically when I try to run games. Specifically, I'm seeing my CPU usage around 20-30% with low temperatures, but my GPU usage hits 100%, reaching temperatures of 40-50°C, and I'm only getting about 10 FPS. I even tried enabling frame generation, but that just made things worse. My setup includes a GTX 1050 Ti, an Intel Core i3 10100F, and I'm running Windows 11 Pro 25H2.

Considering that the FPS dropped suddenly, it's a good idea to check your game files for corruption as well. Sometimes, a game update can mess things up. Try verifying the game files through the game launcher, and see if that fixes your issue.

First off, your GTX 1050 Ti can't utilize frame generation or DLSS. Those features require an RTX card, starting from the 20 series. Also, can you tell me which game you're trying to run and at what resolution? That might help figure things out.

It sounds like you're running into some performance bottlenecks. Make sure your drivers are up to date and consider checking your game settings. Lowering the resolution or graphics settings can also help boost your FPS.
