Good morning! Since I updated to Windows 11, my HDD has been running extremely slowly. It's taking ages just to launch Dota 2, and sometimes I wait as long as 10 minutes. According to Task Manager, my disk usage shows 0% and the CPU usage is also low. Here's some info about my setup: I'm running Windows 11 Pro, version 25H2, with the install date of May 31, 2025, and OS build 26200.7462. I'm really frustrated and need help figuring this out!

Be cautious if you’re thinking about adjusting your BIOS or disk settings—it can risk data loss! Always back up your data first before making any changes to your system setup.
If your HDD is hosting Windows along with other applications, that may be causing the slowdown. Consider moving Windows to an SSD if possible, as that will greatly improve performance.
I ran tests on my SSD recently with games, and everything was performing well. It might also be worth checking that your HDD isn’t too old or dealing with wear and tear. Sometimes, just upgrading can be the solution.
It’s crucial to check the health of your HDD. You can use tools like CrystalDiskInfo to diagnose any issues. Also, if your drive is nearly full, that can definitely slow things down. Make sure to keep some space free!
