Why is my internet data usage so much higher this month?

I recently got an email from Xfinity saying that I've used 75% of my data for this month, and I'm shocked! Typically, I use around 110 GB, but this month I've soared above 900 GB—what's going on? I haven't made any changes in my usage habits, so I'm puzzled. Any ideas on why my data consumption has skyrocketed?

First off, check the data usage on your devices like your phone and computer. Most devices keep a log of data usage by application, which can help you identify where the excess data is coming from. If your router has a usage tracking feature, that could give you more insight too!

You might want to ensure your wireless connection is secure—unsecured networks could lead to unauthorized access and higher usage. Just a thought!

I don’t think my connection is unsecured, but I’ll double-check!
