Why is my keyboard registering button holds as spamming?

I've been having a strange issue while playing games on my PC. Instead of holding down keys like W to move forward, my keyboard interprets it as if I'm rapidly pressing the key, resulting in a jittery movement. It's also happening when I try to hold G in a different game; the progress bar that should activate just flickers on and off because it thinks I'm spamming the button. I'm not sure what caused this; I'm still pretty new to using a PC. I read about sticky keys, but adjusting that in the settings hasn't helped. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, I would really appreciate the help!

Have you checked if any keys are stuck? I had a similar experience before, and it turned out to be a sticky key that was causing the issue. You can use an online keyboard testing tool to see if any keys are registering incorrectly. It might help identify the problem!

That's a good idea! I'll give that a try. So far, it seems to be mostly affecting my WASD keys and G, but I'll check for anything else just in case.

It sounds like your keyboard might have a physical issue. Check if the keyboard cord is securely connected or look for any damage on it. Sometimes a loose connection can cause input problems. If the cord seems fine, it might be worth trying a different USB port too, just to see if that helps.

The cord seems to be fine and is plugged in all the way, so that might not be the issue. I'll keep looking for other potential causes.
