Why is my laptop mic sounding distorted on Linux after switching from Windows?

I recently switched from Windows 11 to Cachy OS on my laptop and noticed that the microphone isn't working as well as it did before. Whenever I use it on Discord, the sound is either distorted or incomplete. I've already played around with the Discord settings, but that doesn't seem to be the issue. The mic cuts off in the middle and sounds pretty bad overall. It worked perfectly on Windows, so I'm not sure what the problem could be—maybe it's a driver issue? Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

I've had similar issues with Discord on Linux, especially with the noise cancellation feature causing weird audio problems. I suggest turning that off to see if it helps. It can sometimes cut off your voice unexpectedly during calls.

I tried toggling the noise cancellation off and on, but it just made the issue worse for me. I even used my old Discord settings from Windows, but they didn’t work this time.
