I recently replaced the back cover of my laptop monitor after it broke. Before the replacement, everything was working perfectly fine. However, now the screen is completely black, even though the device manager indicates that the monitor is connected and functioning. I've tried a few troubleshooting steps like hard resetting the laptop by holding the power button, adjusting the brightness, and completely disconnecting the power by removing the battery. Nothing has worked so far. Any ideas on what might be going wrong?

It's worth checking if you've seated everything correctly after the replacement. Sometimes cables can get loose or not connected right. If they're good, then the backlight issue might be the culprit.
Try shining a bright light at an angle on the screen. If you can see a faint image, that could mean the backlight is faulty. Also, make sure you disconnected the battery while you were replacing the cover. That can sometimes reset things properly.
Have you tried connecting your laptop to an external monitor? That can help isolate if it's a hardware issue with your screen or something else. If the external display works fine, the issue is likely with the laptop's display itself.
