I recently bought an XG27AQDMES monitor along with a 9070xt graphics card, but I'm facing a frustrating issue where the screen flickers black for a split second quite frequently. I've tried a lot of options to fix this problem: I toggled VRR on and off, enabled and disabled Asus power sync, adjusted the proximity sensor settings, and tested all the OLED care features. I also switched between HDMI and DP cables, removed one monitor (since I have three), altered GPU scaling both ways, and even reinstalled my GPU drivers and monitor firmware. I'm really stumped! Has anyone experienced this or have suggestions?

It sounds like the issue might be related to how your monitor is rendering at the refresh rate. When you tested the cables, were they DisplayPort 1.4 or HDMI 2.1? Many cheaper HDMI cables falsely claim to be 2.1 certified, which is crucial for high refresh rates. Have you tried lowering the refresh rate to 144Hz or even 75Hz in the Display Settings? Sometimes that can help mitigate flickering. If you’ve switched ports already, then it might be a potential handshake issue with the GPU.

I'll definitely give 144Hz a shot! I’m using the HDMI cable that came with the monitor—wouldn't Asus include a cable that can handle the monitor’s specs? Any recommendations for reliable brands to buy authentic HDMI 2.1 cables if needed?
