Why is My PC Audio Stuttering When Gaming?

I've been experiencing a frustrating issue where my PC audio stutters during gaming sessions. This started happening suddenly after a year of smooth operation. It occurs primarily when I'm playing resource-intensive games, but even when I have Firefox running in the background with a couple of tabs open. My specs are as follows: Intel i5-10400F 2.90GHz CPU, AMD Radeon RX6600 GPU, and 32GB of RAM. Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

It could be related to how many tabs you have open in Firefox. Sometimes, if one of those tabs is trying to play an embedded video, it can really mess with your system's audio performance. Just something to consider! You mentioned having a couple of Gmail tabs and WhatsApp open—try closing them and see if it helps with the stuttering.

If you’re still having issues with audio even when Firefox is closed, it might be worth checking your CPU usage while gaming. The i5-10400F should handle most games fine, but if it’s maxing out, that might be the culprit. You could also try updating your audio drivers or checking your system settings for any adjustments that could enhance audio performance.

Thanks for the tips! I’ll keep an eye on the CPU usage and see if that’s a problem. I’ll also check for any driver updates.
