My internet connection has high ping on my PC, but online games work normally on my Xbox using the same network. I previously fixed the issue by flushing DNS and resetting the network and IP settings through Command Prompt, but the problem returned a few days later. What else can I try to diagnose or fix it without resetting my entire PC?

Since the Xbox works normally, the issue is probably specific to the PC rather than the internet connection itself. Try reinstalling or updating the network adapter driver, then restart the PC. It’s also worth checking whether the problem happens on both Wi-Fi and Ethernet, if you can test both.
What did you change the last time it started working? Flushing DNS and resetting the network stack can help temporarily, but if the issue keeps returning, check for background downloads, VPNs, security software, or other programs using the connection. Running a ping test while the lag happens may also show whether the delay starts on your PC or farther along the connection.
Also check whether the PC is connected wirelessly or by cable. If you’re using Wi-Fi, test with an Ethernet cable if possible. If the ping immediately improves over Ethernet, the problem may be interference, weak signal, or the PC’s wireless adapter rather than your overall internet service.
