I've been experiencing jittering and lag in almost every game I play, despite being connected via an Ethernet cable that supports 500mbps. I even bought a new cable to troubleshoot, but the issues persist. My roommate, who is closer to the router and also uses Ethernet, has no problems at all. I'm looking for any suggestions or advice to resolve this issue. I mainly play CS2, where I notice the jitter, but even in Borderlands 3, I sometimes lose connection to Wi-Fi.

How much RAM do you have? Having only 16GB might be limiting depending on what else is running on your PC while gaming. If you're multitasking, it could contribute to lag.
Have you checked how you're measuring the jitter? Some games show connection quality in the corner. It might give you a clue. You can also try checking your network settings to ensure everything's configured correctly. Sometimes background applications can cause lag as well. Turn off anything unnecessary when you're gaming.
