Why is my PC only recognizing 8GB of RAM instead of 16GB?

I'm having a problem where my computer is only utilizing 2 out of my 4 RAM slots. In the BIOS, it shows that all 4 sticks of RAM are detected, but the system is only using 8GB of the total 16GB available. Does anyone have suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

Make sure that the RAM sticks are seated properly in their slots. Sometimes they might look in place but need a good push to connect correctly.

You might want to check which RAM sticks you're using and what's compatible with your motherboard. Sometimes it's just a matter of dead RAM sticks or faulty slots. Try running each stick individually in different slots to pinpoint the issue.
