Why is my RAM showing 4800MHz instead of 6000MHz?

I'm having an issue with my PC where it says my RAM is running at 4800MHz instead of the expected 6000MHz. I have EXPO enabled in the BIOS, but it's still not reflecting the correct speed. Can anyone help with this?

Make sure XMP is enabled in the BIOS settings. Sometimes it can be disabled by default, and enabling it should help your RAM run at the correct speed.

Try using CPU-Z to check your DRAM frequency. Go to the Memory tab and see what it shows. Remember, DDR is double data rate, so 3000MHz actually equates to 6000MHz when doubled. How does it look on your end?

I checked, and CPU-Z shows my DRAM frequency fluctuating around 3000MHz, but it keeps jumping by a few MHz. Is that normal? My setup is an Asus Tuf Gaming B850-Plus Wifi with an AMD Ryzen 9800x3d, and G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32 GB DDR5-6000 RAM.

You might want to check for a BIOS update. Sometimes, updating your BIOS can resolve issues like this. Have you done that yet?

Yes, I updated the BIOS before enabling EXPO.
