Why Is My Samsung Galaxy A15 Showing a Green Recording Indicator?

I have a Samsung Galaxy A15, and a green dot keeps appearing in the top-right corner of the screen, indicating that an app is using the camera or microphone. I already closed all visible apps and browser tabs, but the indicator stayed on. What should I check, and what steps can I take to find the cause?

That green dot is Android’s privacy indicator, so it usually means an app is currently accessing the camera or microphone. Try tapping or swiping down on the notification panel to see which app is using it, then check Settings > Security and privacy > Privacy > Permission manager. Review the camera and microphone permissions and remove access from anything suspicious. Restarting the phone can also clear a stuck process; if it keeps happening, install system updates and test in Safe Mode to see whether a downloaded app is responsible.

Restarting the phone made the green dot disappear. I’m still going to check the privacy settings to figure out which app may have triggered it.
