I'm experiencing lower than expected read and write speeds on my Samsung SSD 990 Pro with 4TB capacity. Currently, I'm only seeing speeds of 500k read and write, while I know it's supposed to be much higher. I'm unsure what's causing this issue and would appreciate any insights or solutions.

What motherboard are you using? Make sure it's in the right slot. If it's connected to a Gen 3 slot or limited on PCIe lanes, that could be throttling your speeds.
Try checking the drive health in the Disk & Volumes settings. Since your SSD is relatively new, it should show as healthy. Also, running CrystalDiskInfo can provide more insights into what might be going on with your drive.
The disk shows healthy, and I ran CrystalDiskMark, but I'm not sure I fully understand the results. Here’s what I got:
Read MBs Write MBs
Seq Q32T1 - 7389 6885
4KiB Q8T8 - 1924 2045.6
4KiB Q32T1 - 313.8 305.6
4KiB Q1T1 - 66.06 143.6
Have you checked if your SSD is at high capacity? Often, storage devices can slow down performance when they're nearly full.
I still have 2.5TB of space left, so that's not it.

I have an Asus B850 WiFi Plus motherboard. The SSD is installed right under the CPU and above the GPU, in the slot indicated for M2 devices.
