I'm having a frustrating problem with my Seagate Barracuda 2TB hard drive. It doesn't appear in the BIOS, but it is recognized in Windows Device Manager. I've tried different power connectors and cables, but nothing seems to fix it. I had a similar issue in the past that resolved itself, but this time it isn't changing. Any ideas on what might be going on?

Have you checked out the partition manager? Sometimes drives show up as uninitialized or with errors. Tools like HDD Sentinel can help check the drive’s health. If it shows issues or doesn’t work properly, it might be a sign that the hard drive is dead.
Was the drive ever used before? If not, try opening disk management and format it, plus assign it a drive letter. If it was used before, it might be worth noting that after cleaning the PC and changing cables, this issue popped up.
Sounds like your hard drive isn’t spinning when the PC is on, but you might hear it when powering up. Some people have recorded the sounds for help, but it's tricky here. Just to clarify, it hasn't been working since you cleaned the PC and swapped cables, right?
